Attendees at Truth for a New Generation Conference Among First to View ‘The God Who Speaks’

New Film from American Family Association Will Be Shown at Dr. Alex McFarland’s Apologetics Conference March 23-24 in North Carolina

TUPELO, Miss.—In a fast-moving world that can be very visual and entertainment-driven, filmmakers at American Family Studios, a division of the American Family Association (AFA)are exploring the authority of the Bible in a new film called The God Who Speaks.

Out on DVD and digital rental Feb. 1, attendees at the 2018 Truth for a New Generation (TNG) conference from apologist and author Dr. Alex McFarland will have a chance to see the film as a group the evening of March 23.

McFarland’s conference draws attendees from around the country who this year will hear from nationally known speakers such as Fox News’ Todd Starnes and Lauren Green; apologist Josh McDowell, who is a contributor to “The God Who Speaks;” faith investigator J. Warner Wallace; AFA’s General Counsel & Public Policy Analyst Abraham Hamilton III; and “Counter Culture Mom” Tina Marie Griffin, along with others.

McFarland was also a contributor to the film and hosts the daily radio program “Exploring the Word” on American Family Radio (AFR).

“I am thrilled for attendees at the Truth for a New Generation conference to watch the spectacular film ‘The God Who Speaks,’” said McFarland, who is also Director for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at the Christian Worldview Center of North Greenville University in Greenville, South Carolina. “Never has there been a more crucial time for Christians to truly know the Bible and be able to defend their beliefs in this culture that desperately needs God. I was honored to be a part of this amazing project with some of the greatest defenders of the faith from this generation. I hope those in attendance at TNG will be as moved and energized by this movie as I was, and will go out and make great strides for Christ.”

“The God Who Speaks” is a powerful 90-minute documentary that explores the evidence of the Bible’s inspiration and authority through some of the world’s most respected biblical scholars. Since its Feb. 1 debut, the movie has been enabling thousands of Christians to better defend their faith, talk to skeptics about the truth of the Bible and rest assured in the authority of God’s Word.

Directed by M.D. Perkins, the movie delves into many topical explorations and questions about the Bible, including the following:

“The God Who Speaks” aims to clear up misconceptions about the Bible through other major players in apologetics, including Alistair Begg of Parkside Church, Norman Geisler of Veritas International University and co-founder of Southern Evangelical Seminary, R. Albert Mohler of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Frank Turek of Cross Examined Ministries, along with many others.

At the Truth for a New Generation event, “The God Who Speaks” will be shown around 9 p.m. Friday, March 23 at the host site, Life Community Church, 4900 W Wendover Ave., in Jamestown, North Carolina. Learn more about the conference at www.truthforanewgeneration.com.
