Abortion Is Taking a Baby’s Life—At Any Stage
Dr. Alex McFarland: God Never Gave Any Woman, Politician or Hollywood Elite the ‘Right’ to Murder a Child of God, Created in His Image
They are very vocal that a pre-born baby who has a heartbeat should not have the right to live, says renowned apologist, religion and culture expert, author and radio host Dr. Alex McFarland. But once the discussion turns to partial-birth or full-term abortion, the conversation gets a little quieter.
Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg told Fox News host Chris Wallace that, no, there should not be “any limit on a woman’s right to have an abortion.” Buttigieg added, “I think the dialogue has gotten so caught up on where you draw the line, that we’ve gotten away from the fundamental question of who gets to draw the line, and I trust women to draw the line when it’s their life.”
But there is much more to “trusting” women to “draw the line,” McFarland said.
“Pro-abortion activists must come to grips with the fact that they advocate for killing a child of God—and that fact remains unchanged regardless of whether the baby was just conceived, has a heartbeat or is days away from being born,” he said. “The argument about rights being taken away is a manmade distortion. God, or the Constitution for that matter, never gave any woman, politician or Hollywood elite the ‘right’ to take away a baby’s life—created by God in His image—in order to be in control of their bodies.
“Actually, just the opposite is true,” McFarland added. “We are endowed the right to life. God gives us the right to be born and to live. In mandating that none of us have the right to murder another person, that doesn’t mean we have lost any rights. Recently passed heartbeat laws, and God-willing, the others that will follow, do not take away the rights of women. They never had the right to murder another human being in the first place.”
Through his Truth for a New Generation Ministries, sponsored by Liberty University, and as well as through 18 books, national and regional events, and a summer youth apologetics camp, McFarland has focused for his entire career on equipping Christians to share the Gospel and defend the faith.
