AFA Action a Sponsor of Event That Will Feature Conservative Activists, Authors, Lawmakers and More

TUPELO, Miss.—Several leaders from American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) will be present at this weekend’s Values Voter Summit, where hundreds will converge on the nation’s capital to mobilize for change and a better nation, especially after a very politically tumultuous year.

AFA Action (www.afaaction.net), a division of AFA, is a sponsor for the event set for Oct. 13-15 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. AFA Action Vice President Rob Chambers will be a featured speaker during a breakout session on Saturday.

“American Family Association is honored to again play an integral role at the Values Voter Summit,” said Tim Wildmon, president of AFA and AFA Action. “The Summit will welcome real game-changers in the world of politics, and the event is such an important gathering for Christian voters, both for those who attend and for those who will benefit from the motivating content that comes from the Summit. This year has been, and 2018 will continue to be, a critical time for the voices of the faithful to be heard.”

On Friday, AFA will also host its annual luncheon, which will feature Judge Roy Moore, former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, who recently won a hotly contested primary runoff in Alabama, where he defeated Sen. Luther Strange. Moore will now face Democrat Doug Jones in the state’s Dec. 12 general election.

Chambers’ breakout session is titled “Drain the Swamp,” and will also feature Emmett McGroarty, Senior Fellow for the American Principles Project, and Debbie Wuthnow, executive director of iVoterGuide.com. In the last election, citizens made known their angst about America’s future. The great American Experiment remains under heavy attack at home, Europe seems intent on rejecting western civilization, and chaos and oppression reign over much of the world. Republicans now have control of the Senate, House and White House, but Democrats and many moderate and liberal Republicans are roadblocking the conservative agenda. The session will cover three ways to help “Drain the Swamp,” equipping attendees with information on which elected officials and special interests are obstructing the conservative agenda, how to make a difference in primary elections, and how to hold elected officials accountable.

Other top-name speakers at the Summit include: Rep. Michele Bachmann, former United States Representative of Minnesota; Steve Bannon, Breitbart News; George Barna, executive director, American Culture and Faith Institute; Gary Bauer, president, American Values; David and Jason Benham, bestselling authors and entrepreneurs; Dr. Bill Bennett, author and radio host; Lt. Gen. William Boykin (U.S. Army-Ret.), former commander, Delta Force; David Daleiden, citizen journalist and project lead, Center for Medical Progress; William Federer, D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship; Frank Gaffney, Center for Security Policy; Dr. Sebastian Gorka, author and Fox News contributor; Laura Ingraham, author, syndicated host and founder of LifeZette.com; Alveda King, Civil Rights For the Unborn; Dana Loesch, author and syndicated host; Lt. Col. Oliver North (U.S. Marines-Ret.), syndicated columnist; Tony Perkins, president, Family Research Council and FRC Action; Al Robertson and Phil Robertson, “Duck Dynasty;” Lila Rose, LiveAction; House Majority Whip Steve Scalise; Todd Starnes, FOX News; Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel; and Frank Wright, D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship, among others.

Joining AFA Action as Values Voter Summit sponsors are FRC Action, American Values, Association of Mature American Citizens, Christian Healthcare Ministries, D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship and Family Research Council. To register for the event, click here.
