American Family Association Executive Vice President: ‘The UN is overrun with and controlled by people who hate God and His laws’

August 29, 2022

TUPELO, Miss. — The American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) continues to stand for the lives of the unborn, even as powerful international pro-abortion activists pressure the United Nations (U.N.) to approve a hideous resolution asserting that abortion is a ‘human right.’ The belligerence toward the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade this past June is led by Western elites in the Biden Administration and the European Union who have aggressively applied pressure to the U.N. to vote yes on the resolution, which could be voted on at any time.

According to the Center for Family & Human Rights, the resolution would “give a clear mandate to U.N. agencies that abortion should be promoted as a human right.” The resolution, motivated by an apparent impulse to self-destruction, comes in the face of plummeting fertility rates and devastating population collapses in many Western countries, including the United States.

American Family Association Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano commented on the resolution, claiming that this unethical push to solidify abortion in society is another ploy by people and governments who openly reject the guidelines for life provided in the Bible.

Vitagliano stated, “The United Nations is not quite a worthless entity as some conservatives suggest, but resolutions like this one reveal that the U.N. certainly isn’t worth much. The sheer audacity of globalist elites is evident every day as they lecture the ‘common folk’ about not being woke enough. One other thing is clear from a Christian perspective, however, and that is that the U.N. is overrun with and controlled by people who hate God and His laws. To insist that it is a ‘human right’ to kill other human beings is a demonic ideology.”
