AFA: We Need to Continue Praying for the President and the Rest of our Political Leaders

May 11, 2020

TUPELO, Miss.—The Trump administration recently shelved a detailed document created by a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention team with specific guidance to local authorities on how and when to begin reopening public areas including schools, day camps, churches, business, mass transit, bars and restaurants during the coronavirus pandemic.

The American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) says we must continue praying for our political leaders as they work to reopen the country during this difficult time.

“This is an extremely difficult situation to navigate, said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “We just had the National Day of Prayer but make no mistake: The intercession needs to continue. As Christians, we need to continue praying for the President and the rest of our political leaders each and every day that they might have the wisdom necessary to make the right decisions at the right time.”

For more than 40 years, AFA has operated within the mission to inform, equip, and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission. Visit AFA Action Alerts here.
