American Family Association Alerts Shoppers That Target Stores Are Donating $100,000 to Promote Gay Lifestyle to School Children
Target’s Website Has Several Pages Dedicated to Products That Promote LGBT Lifestyle
TUPELO, Miss.—After blending genders in its restroom and fitting room areas, Target is at it again—just in time for Pride Month.
The American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) is alerting families that Target department stores are not only offering clothing and accessories for both adults and children to celebrate the gay lifestyle, but the company has also pledged to donate to a nonprofit that trains students and teachers in LGBT politics and advocacy, according to LifeSiteNews.
“Target’s website has several pages dedicated to products that promote the LGBT lifestyle, many of which are specifically designed for children,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “For example, Target offers shirts that declare ‘Love my dads,’ while another says, ‘Love my moms.’ Other shirts are emblazoned with the rainbow flag bearing the word ‘pride’ superimposed.”
Wildmon added that Target is also donating $100,000 to the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization whose primary focus is instructing school-aged students about how to create “gay” clubs in public schools across the nation.
GLSEN also offers lesson plans for elementary school children on “gender-neutral” pronouns and terminology as part of the Common Core curriculum as well as introducing gender ideology to third-graders.
For adults, Target is also selling the “Pride Adult Gender Inclusive Iridescent Five Panel Hat,” “Pride Striped Bisexual Flag Bandana,” “Pride Striped Transgender Flag Bandana,” “Pride Adult Striped Gender Inclusive Jumpsuit” and a number of other accessories and articles of clothing.
AFA is encouraging concerned families to take action in several ways:
- Call Target headquarters at 612-304-6073 (option 2) and personally let executives know you are boycotting their stores.
- Forward this information to friends and family. Invite them to sign the #BoycottTarget pledge at afa.net/target.
- Voice your concerns on Target’s Facebook page.
