American Family Association Partners with Eight Days of Hope for Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts
TUPELO, Miss.—With massive flooding now in 50 counties across Texas and tens of thousands displaced as a result of Hurricane Harvey, the American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) released the following statement regarding ongoing relief and recovery efforts:
“After much thought and prayer, the American Family Association has decided to partner with Eight Days of Hope in the coming weeks to help provide relief to those affected by the flooding in Houston and the surrounding area,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “Eight Days of Hope is a Christian, non-profit organization that provides disaster relief and recovery. AFA has partnered with Eight Days of Hope on numerous occasions since its inception in 2005, soon after Hurricane Katrina. While families are experiencing tremendous devastation and sadness, our prayer is that this partnership will shine the love and hope of Jesus Christ to those affected by this disaster. Official details of this partnership will be released in the coming days.”
