Parents must be aware of what their children are being taught and ‘cannot take no for an answer,’ says AFA President Tim Wildmon

TUPELO, Miss. — A report of a California early childhood teacher pushing gender confusion on her preschool students is raising alarms for concerned Americans nationwide. The report revealed Danita McCray told parents that if they don’t like her radical teaching methods, such as the controversial “gender unicorn,” they have the “option to go to another classroom.” The “gender unicorn” discusses sexuality, gender identity, gender expression and romantic attraction and provides “support” for children eight and under who supposedly already sense they are “transgender or gender non-conforming.”
“I’ve done research. I have got my doctorate degree. Children are not too young at five years old. Children understand gender as early as three years old,” McCray stated.
American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) President Tim Wildmon said schoolteachers are intended to be responsive to parents’ concerns, not override them. However, parents need to take the necessary steps to ensure that happens.
“For school districts to promote this destructive ideology to children who are five and six years old proves that these educational leaders have been radicalized, that they do not care about parental rights, and that they believe the state is already in control of public life in America,” said Wildmon. “Parents need to become aware of what’s being taught to their children, and they need to get involved. They cannot take no for an answer. There are Christian law firms that will represent parents in these battles, if it comes to that.”
