American Pastors Network Calls on Churches to Reflect on God’s Gift of Life and Protect Pre-Born
‘Stand in the Gap Today’ Radio Welcomes Pro-Life Advocate Kim Ketola on Anniversary of Roe v. Wade Today at Noon EST
PHILADELPHIA—For those who champion life and work to protect the futures of the pre-born, today is a black mark in American history—45 years since Roe v. Wade, the landmark supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in America.
Since 1973, about 60 million unborn babies have died as a result of abortion, reports LifeNews.com—nearly 90 times the number of U.S. soldiers who lost their lives in every war since 1775, the American Family Association notes.
For Christians who know that God is the Ultimate Giver of Life, that’s 60 million too many.
During January, Sanctity of Human Life Month, the American Pastors Network (APN, www.americanpastorsnetwork.net) has been urging churches to keep life issues at the forefront and encouraging pastors to preach the whole counsel of God regarding this crucial cultural issue.
“We pray 2018 will be the year that not one tax dollar ever goes toward abortion again,” said APN President Sam Rohrer, “and that the nation’s justices will stand for life, no longer allowing the killing of innocent babies to be stain on the pages of our nation’s history.
“Although life is precious every day of the year,” Rohrer added, “Sanctity of Human Life Month is a time when pastors and churches can truly focus on protecting life in their communities. We can no longer ignore abortion in our churches. Many may be struggling with the scars of abortion in their own lives, and looking to the church for help, healing and restoration. Additionally, we must equip our people to stand up for the sanctity of life in their own communities, states and across the nation.”
Today at noon EST, Rohrer will welcome pro-life champion Kim Ketola to “Stand in the Gap Today,” the radio ministry of the American Pastors Network. Through her ministry Cradle My Heart, Ketola stands for life and promotes healing after unintended pregnancy, as well as shares her own experience with abortion at the age of 23.
Ketola’s own radio program, “Cradle My Heart Today,” provides daily truth and inspiration to choose and defend life through a one-minute radio feature airing on more than 800 stations. An excellent storyteller and award-winning writer and broadcaster, Ketola has used her talents and her faith to unveil one of the biggest untold stories of our time—the spiritual impact of abortion on the women and men who choose it, as well as the hope available to make a better choice.
“Stand in the Gap Today” airs on more than 425 stations nationwide and can also be heard live online from noon to 1 p.m. EST at the American Pastors Network website at the orange “Listen Live” button on the right-hand side of the webpage; find a station here.
