American Pastors Network: Five Years of Empowering Christian Leaders Committed to Culture Change

APN Reaches Millions Each Week Through Trio of Radio Programs

(EDITOR’S NOTE: A multi-part series looking back at the impact of the American Pastors Network over the past five years.)

PHILADELPHIA—All this week, the American Pastors Network (APN) is celebrating five years in ministry on its daily, one-hour, live “Stand in the Gap Today” radio program by welcoming guests who have been a part of the success and reflecting on God’s many provisions and blessings.

Soon after the inception of APN, the pastors network began the 60-second “Stand in the Gap Minute” radio feature, which today airs on 375 stations. About a year and a half later, the program grew to the daily show, airing on 475 stations and hosted by APN President Sam Rohrer and APN leaders Gary Dull and Dave Kistler, who both serve as presidents of APN state chapters. “Stand in the Gap Weekend” re-airs the most engaging segments from the previous week on about 240 stations.

“In the miraculous ways of God, He has established the ministry and focus of APN, our ‘Stand in the Gap’ radio programs and now our national television program,” Rohrer said. “He has expanded the influence of this ministry beyond Pennsylvania to the nation and around the world. He’s permitted us to begin eight state chapters of pastors with the vision of a chapter in all 50 states and to raise our vision to reach the millennial and the younger generations with the truth of God’s Word and a biblical worldview.

“Importantly, God has allowed us to reach out and empower the Remnant,” Rohrer added, “that small but mighty faction of Bible-believing pastors and Christians who are committed to upholding God’s Word in the culture and, thereby, changing our world. The remarkable growth of APN from the early days just over five years ago until now is nothing short of demonstration of God’s miraculous hand. He has opened doors no man could open and permitted the proclamation of truth in the public square in ways we could never have imagined and touching lives and changing hearts not only of pastors but moms and dads across the nation and people in office, nationally and internationally.”

Throughout November, APN will reflect on its five-year anniversary, on God’s provision and all the blessings bestowed upon the ministry since its inception in 2013. The Pennsylvania Pastors Network began in 2005 in the first capital city of our nation, Philadelphia. From this one state chapter, APN was birthed. Today, APN celebrates that the national network of pastors has started eight state chapters over the years with many in the wings to launch additional state chapters. Currently, APN state chapters exist in Arkansas, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia—with three others preparing to launch.

“Stand in the Gap” radio airs on hundreds of stations and reaches millions each week. The programs consider the most important global concerns from a biblical and constitutional perspective. Rohrer also hosts a weekly television program, which considers transcending cultural issues from a biblical worldview perspective. “Stand in the Gap TV” airs on several networks, including WBPH in Philadelphia, VCY-TV in Milwaukee and Upliftv nationally.
