Believers Around Globe Celebrate Knowing Jesus This Easter After Meeting the Savior Through Radio

Listeners Learn About Crucifixion and Resurrection Through The Tide® Ministry’s Gospel Radio Programming in 25 Languages Worldwide

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—This Easter, many global radio listeners will celebrate Jesus’ resurrection for the first time after committing their lives to Christ because of The Tide® (www.thetide.org) ministry’s Gospel programming.

“As Christians worldwide reflect on everything Jesus did for us so that we can spend eternity with Him, we are not only humbled but immensely thankful for Christ’s sacrifice,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “We can marvel in and celebrate His resurrection, and for those who trusted in Jesus for the first time this year after receiving His gift of grace through The Tide programming, Easter will be extra special.”

A listener from Albania talked about his life change after learning about Jesus Christ through The Tide programming.

As a student, I love to listen to the radio,” he said. “I always believed that I’m strong enough to do everything in my life and do not need God. As I was listening to the program ‘Sipas Fjales’ on the radio, I had a desire to meet with the pastor and challenge him. Pastor K was too nice, and ready to have coffee with me and to talk more about some topics in the Bible. I thought I didn’t need God. As we met day by day, I understood that I am a sinner and God has a plan for my life. I made a decision to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since than my life has changed drastically. And all started one day while listening to the radio. Thank you for bringing hope and healing to my heart and please pray for the salvation of my family members.”

Another radio listener in India is thankful for the “Shanti Data” program this Easter, which has “brought a change in my life.”

“I have been learning more about Jesus Christ,” Kalpana said. “This program has helped me in my spiritual life. I have given my life to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Savior.”

In Zimbabwe, one listener shared that he “was excited to hear the Gospel” and received Jesus into his heart.

“I was lost and sick, but now I have hope in Christ,” he said.

The Tide ministry records and broadcasts Gospel programming in eight countries on three continents in 25 heart languages spoken by millions of people in multiple regions of Albania, Bhutan, India, Kosovo, Nepal, Nigeria, Thailand and Zimbabwe. With more than 7,000 languages spoken worldwide and more than 2,000 people groups that have been unreached by the Good News of Jesus, the opportunities are tremendous, but The Tide helps make it possible for multiple people groups to hear the Gospel in the languages they were born to speak.
