GREENVILLE, S.C. – Beginning July 2021, Trail Life USA (TrailLifeUSA.com) will welcome outdoor adventure Units of Christian Service Brigade (CSB) into the existing Troop programs of the Trail Life USA ministry, strengthening the outreach and impact of both ministries. Combined with the recent addition of over 85 Troops and over 3,000 new members in four months, thousands more boys and men will be reached.
Mark Hancock, CEO of Trail Life USA, welcomes CSB, saying, “Trail Life’s enthusiasm for using outdoor adventure to teach character and leadership is a great match with Christian Service Brigade’s legacy of discipleship and service. We bring a strong local Troop experience to CSB’s proven long-term success. This is an opportunity for us to multiply our efforts to mentor the next generation.”
Christian Service Brigade (CSB) has faithfully served over a million members for over 84 years, producing lasting spiritual fruit, mentoring young men, discipling, and performing acts of service in their communities. Now CSB will encourage the transition of Units and boys interested in Trail Life USA’s growing Troop programs to over 900 Trail Life Troops who share the vision and mission to mold the next generation of men.
Trail Life is prepared for the seamless transition of Units wishing to transfer from Christian Service Brigade. CSB will continue hosting their specialty events. At the same time, local activities, outdoor adventures, and CSB Unit meetings will have the opportunity to shift their day-to-day tactical functions to Trail Life’s Troop programs.
“These two ministries are living examples of the Biblical mandate for multiplication–the impact of two organizations with one heart is exponential: multigenerational ministry to connect fathers and sons, mentor thousands of boys, mold men, and shape families,” said Hancock.
Since Trail Life USA launched on January 1, 2014, it has grown to over 33,000 members across the nation. The K-12 program centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills. A robust awards program motivates young men to grow on a personal level to become role models and leaders among their peers. The Trail Life USA journey is established on timeless values based on the Bible.
