Constitution Day September 17 is an Important Reminder How Vital the Constitution is for Protecting Moms and Families

Moms For America Reminds Us of this Importance on the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage

(, a national movement calling on mothers to restore values such as motherhood, marriage, womanhood and patriotism, said,Constitution Day serves as an important reminder on this 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage how important the Constitution is for protecting moms and families.”

“In our current culture, civil rights are being violated because people don’t know what the Constitution says.  It’s more important than ever for Americans to know the protections afforded to them by the Constitution,” added Fletcher.

Moms for America’s video, entitled, “Meet Dawn: What Moms Care About,” features American momsand Moms for America State Liaison, Dawn Damiani,talking about her concerns, and why voting is so important.

“The constitution guarantees and protects my freedom – the freedom to express my opinion; the freedom to voice my political opinion without the fear of government punishing me for it; the freedom to live out my life and faith; the freedom to raise my family with values and patriotism,” says Damiani.

WHO: Constitution Day was founded by an Ohio mom, Olga Weber, first in her hometown of Louisville, Ohio, in 1952, then in the state of Ohio, and then in the USA in 1953. 

WHAT: Constitution Day kicks off Constitution Week, signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953, to commemorate the signing of the Constitution of the United States and recognizing its importance.

September 17-23 – Constitution Week

WHERE: Across the United States of America

WHY: Constitution Day began because American citizens were taking their freedoms too much for granted, to ensure that people did not lose sight of the importance of this document in the foundation of our country and in our individual families. Moms for America continues that mission of ensuring people, especially moms, are aware of these principles. Kimberly Fletcher added, It’s a devastating burden on our country that today’s population is largely unaware of the importance of the US Constitution. It bears repeating: People need to understand how important the Constitution is for protecting moms and families.”
