Dr. Alex McFarland Asks, How Long Will We Tolerate Censorship on America’s College Campuses?
A Christian student at the University of California-Berkeley is still facing pressure to resign from the student senate because of her faith-driven decision to abstain from a vote about the definition of gender.
Junior Isabella Chow has become the face of Christian students who are dealing with increased opposition on America’s college campuses, and religion and culture expert and national radio host Dr. Alex McFarland says enough is enough.
How long, he asks, will we tolerate American colleges censoring the voices of students? As college students prepare to finish another semester, or as high school students search for the right college for them, parents must be aware of the liberal indoctrination that is happening on universities across the country. Like Isabella Chow, conservative Christian students are being made to feel slighted, marginalized or even threatened for their views.
“If there was ever a time for the faithful to have a voice in our society, it is now,” McFarland said. “The fact that our nation has become so hostile toward some beliefs is a sad commentary and a tragic consequence of a culture that touts tolerance, but really only believes in it when the views are ‘agreeable.’”
McFarland speaks to tens of thousands of young people every year and is also the author of “Abandoned Faith: Why Millennials Are Walking Away and How You Can Lead Them Home” and the creator of the Truth for a New Generation (TNG) apologetics conferences.
