Dr. Paul Chappell Focuses on Soul Winning, Missions and Revival at Spiritual Leadership Conference Asia

Feb. 27-March 1 Event in Manila, Philippines, Brings Together Ministry Workers and Business Leaders to Reach More People for Christ

LOS ANGELES—All eyes are on Asia this week, as the PyeongChang Winter Olympics welcome athletes from around the world. But soon after the South Korea Games wrap up, hundreds of pastors will travel to the Philippines for the Spiritual Leadership Conference Asia from Lancaster Baptist Church.

Leading and hosting will be Lancaster Baptist senior pastor and conference host Dr. Paul Chappell, also president of West Coast Baptist College, who will travel to the Philippines for the gathering, set for Feb. 27 through March 1 in Manila. The event, with the theme “Striving Together for Asia and Beyond,” aims to encourage the spirit of Philippians 1:27 as pastors strive together for missions, revival and soul winning.

“We have assembled a group of teachers and pastors to provide training to equip leaders from all over Asia,” Chappell said. “We believe that God is working mightily in the 10-40 window, the regions in eastern hemisphere, and the European and African part of the western hemisphere, where people have been under-evangelized and have little to no access to the messages of Jesus Christ’s saving grace, love and hope. This important event will help mobilize ministry workers and business leaders in those areas to help reach the lost, and we are praying that God will bless this meeting in a powerful way.”

Daytime sessions at the Asia conference will include training for pastors, local church leaders, Christian business leaders and laypersons who want to be used of God in a greater way. Breakouts will focus on soul winning, discipleship, church leadership, church music programs, life-giving ministry for women, stewardship, church planting, youth ministry, teens and millennials, missions and more.

In the evening preaching services, West Coast Baptist College and choirs from churches throughout Manila will provide special music. These services will be instructional and inspirational, as the conference leaders will be challenged to impact lives for Christ.

Besides Chappell, additional speakers include Pastor R.B. Ouellette, Evangelist Tom Farrell, Evangelist John Goetsch, Pastor Kevin Folger, Pastor Dean Miller, Pastor Daniel Kim, Pastor Alan Fong and Pastor Brent Armstrong.
