Families Blessed by Health Care Sharing Through Samaritan Ministries
Larger Growing Families, as Well as Those Who are Self-Employed, Love the Care They Receive from Fellow Samaritan Members

PEORIA, Ill.—Many members of Samaritan Ministries International (samaritanministries.org), one of the leading health care sharing ministries in the country, have discovered that they can count on a Sovereign God as well as their fellow Samaritan members as they enjoy the abundance of having larger families.
Samaritan’s 82,500 member households (more than 270,000 individuals) not only have the support of Samaritan staff who pray with them during nearly every interaction, but they also pray for and send financial shares directly to their fellow members. Sending these affordable monthly shares, along with notes and cards of encouragement, to other families creates a connection that stays with families for years to come.
Kelly and Amy in Idaho have nine children in their health care sharing family and says Samaritan Ministries has been “a real blessing.”
“Every time we’ve had medical issues,” they said, “Samaritan and the people of Samaritan—all its members—have been there, not only to help us with medical costs, but, more importantly, to pray for us and encourage us in the Lord!
Todd and Monica are members of Samaritan Ministries from California, and their self-employment status makes them a great fit for health care sharing.
“For many years, we paid so much for our medical insurance, including high monthly premiums, high annual deductibles and high office visits,” they said. “We are a one-income family with a photography business. We were apprehensive about joining Samaritan because it was a faith walk. We ‘took the plunge’ a few years ago and it has been a blessing. To know that our money does not/will not go toward abortions, sex changes, etc., makes (us) very grateful.”
Rocky and Diana in Louisiana said health care sharing through Samaritan Ministries “worked exactly how you said it would.”
“I felt good just about helping others monthly and praying,” Diana wrote. “We had no needs until (our daughter) had a horrific stomach virus, which we thought was appendicitis. Thankfully, it turned out to be just a virus, (but) the walk-in clinic, hospital and imaging bills were over the top. Samaritan Ministries members stepped up like champs. Nearly $7,000 in shares were sent—it still seems surreal! But, that’s God, isn’t it? Again, my deepest gratitude and appreciation goes to all members, especially those who met our need by prayer and finances. … I would not EVER go back to insurance again. Matter of fact, I will not stop talking and sharing Samaritan Ministries with others!”
Zachary and Diana, two more members in California, said they are “so thankful” for the support from both Samaritan staff and members as their family grew.
“Our first need that was shared by all of the amazing members who contributed to help bring our beautiful baby girl, Genesis Eliana, into this world,” Diana said. “I experienced the most wonderful and empowering home birth and excellent pre- and post-natal care, which was all helped by the generous support of this incredible ministry. We are truly blessed by all the prayers and financial assistance we have received from Samaritan members. I am forever grateful!”
Through this effective, God-honoring ministry, over a quarter of a million members of Samaritan Ministries are sharing approximately $30 million in medical needs person to person each month. In fact, over the past 25 years, Samaritan Ministries members have shared over $1.8 billion in health care needs.
