WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—At the tender age of 7, most American children are focusing on fun and growing up. But at that young age, Kamal Saleem carried out his first mission after being recruited by the Muslim Brotherhood.
His road to freedom—and Christianity—was a long one, but today’s he’s committed to communicating the truth about Islam.
Saleem will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Truth for a New Generation conference in the Nashville area later this month organized by religion and culture expert and author Dr. Alex McFarland. The event is set for Sept. 14-15 at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro, just outside of Nashville.
“Kamal Saleem’s message of truth and redemption is absolutely amazing,” said McFarland. “His story relays to perhaps uninformed Christians the forces working hard to dismantle our faith. We welcome him to the Truth for a New Generation conference and know that his insight and passion will be extremely moving for attendees.”
Born to a large Sunni Muslim family in the Middle East, Saleem was also recruited by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and other radical Muslim groups. After many years of radical Islamist training, he eventually mastered every form of divisive extremist tactics. As a young man, he left his family to enter his “mission field”—the United States—with the intent to convert as many Christians and Jews as possible for the glory of Allah. He worked effectively in what is now known as “stealth” cultural jihad.
In 1985, Saleem was seriously injured in an automobile accident; Christian men aided him at the scene and nurtured him back to health. These men demonstrated the unconditional, redemptive love of Christ, and since then, Saleem has become a man on a new mission as an ambassador for Christ.
Saleem is uniquely equipped with tremendous insight into today’s most pressing issues, armed with a wealth of knowledge about the true culture and agenda of radical Islam. He is well-versed in the Bible, Quran, Hadith and Sira (Shariah Law). He believes radical Islam is the most broadly disguised present danger to Christians, Jews and all non-Muslim people of the world, and carries the message to awaken the Church through truth, education, prayer and relationship.
The former jihadi is now president of Koome Ministries—from the Aramaic word from the Old Testament meaning “arise.” The ministry seeks to reach a lost and oppressed people with the liberty of Jesus Christ with a threefold goal: to wake up, educate and train the Christian and Jewish communities on the impending dangers of radical Islam; to reach Muslims with the redemptive message of Christ; and to teach the church “relationship evangelism” to reach Muslims with the truth. In 2009, Saleem wrote his memoir, “The Blood of Lambs.”
Joining Saleem and McFarland in Tennessee are legendary apologist Josh McDowell, author and national radio host Dr. Michael Brown, faith investigator J. Warner Wallace, “Counter Culture Mom” Tina Marie Griffin, American Family Radio’s Meeke Addison, worship leader and Stage 2 Ministries founder Cindy Johnson, and Church For All Nations senior pastor Mark Cowart, among others.
