April Few in new film ‘Truth & Lies in American Education’: ‘The truth opened my eyes, and now that I know what is really happening, I have to fight for the sake of my daughters’

COLUMBIA, S. C. — America’s faith in federal education model is at an all-time low. Parents are waking up to the insidious nature of the American public school system and demanding change. With children learning critical race theory, LGBTQ ideologies, explicit sexual doctrine, and other Marxist ideas, parents are banding together to fight back.
April Few is a mother, a wife, and a passionate advocate for parental control in children’s education. However, this was not always the case. United States Parents Involved in Education’s (USPIE) latest feature film, “Truth & Lies in American Education,” follows Few’s journey of revelation as she uncovers the truth behind the toxic American education system. But Few’s story as a USPIE parental rights activist began years earlier.
“My journey from progressive liberalism to conservatism started when I was 13,” Few commented. As personal relationships grew strained and broken, Few’s views began to shift. “My world fell apart. I felt like I was dying inside. I stopped caring about school. I stopped going to class and found a new group of friends. These friends drank and used drugs, and soon, so did I. I was angry at God and ran away from my faith. When I went off to college, I didn’t even make it a year before I lost my soccer scholarship and was forced to leave. At college, I had still been drinking, using drugs, and seeking male attention. Once I flunked out of college, I moved home where I became even more reckless. I got a DUI before I even turned 21. I even went through a phase where I was active in the homosexual community. Media, culture, peer pressure, and the desire to be rich and famous had a huge impact on my life.
“I was so lost and confused. I completely rejected God.”
Despite Few’s personal confusion about her life, God had a plan for her. “In 2014, I met the man who would eventually become my husband. I became pregnant and neither of us knew what to do — I was so entrenched in leftist ideology, we even considered getting an abortion. Thankfully, we ended up getting married and had our first daughter shortly after.”
Few’s marriage and children brought her something she never expected — a glimpse into the realities of the American education system through the work of her mother-in-law, Founder and President of USPIE Sheri Few.
“Sheri asked me to do some work for USPIE on education policy,” stated April Few. “When I first started working for USPIE, it was really hard for me to believe all of the nefarious things happening in education, and I was sure I would never even consider homeschooling. However, the more I read and did my own research, the more I realized Sheri and her colleagues were dedicating their lives to helping stop the indoctrination happening with taxpayer money. I knew I never wanted my children to experience the horrific agendas within American education.
“I dedicated my life to Christ in 2019 and use my heart for Him and my passion for my family to inspire me to work towards a better future in education. The truth opened my eyes, and now that I know what is really happening, I have to fight for the sake of my daughters. Once you learn the truth about American education, there’s no looking back.”
Few’s passion to uncover what is really happening in American education led her through a maze of information about the realities of the liberal agenda poisoning schools across the nation, such as critical race theory, intense sexualization, and rampant Marxism. In “Truth & Lies in American Education,” viewers can follow Few as she makes the shocking discovery that the governmental education system — the one intended to help and educate America’s children — has been infiltrated with this toxic propaganda. Few is joined in the film by prominent educational experts such as Karen England, Alex Newman, Dr. Duke Pesta, Dr. Carol Swain, Sam Sorbo and others.
The film is available for streaming on SalemNOW, as well available on DVD. For more information about “Truth & Lies in American Education,” click here.
United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that seeks to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.
