Everyone is searching for answers on how the “solve” the health care problem in America.
Samaritan Ministries International (samaritanministries.org), one of the leading health care sharing ministries in America, is suggesting one place few have looked.
“Health care is one of the most complicated issues being hotly debated across the country right now,” said Anthony Hopp, Samaritan Ministries’ vice president of external relations. “But caring for each other and bearing one another’s burdens is actually one of the most basic teachings in the Bible. While millions of people wait in suspense to see what will happen with their health care—at the hands of someone else—Samaritan members don’t have to depend on the government for their medical needs to be met. Through Samaritan, a Biblical community of believers comes together to obey Jesus’ teachings.”
Samaritan recently released membership numbers for June: 69,469 households and 227,371 individual members. Each month, members currently share $25 million in needs, and these families send monthly shares directly to other families to help them pay their medical bills, as well as pray for one another and include notes of encouragement—the heart of Samaritan’s Biblical mission for more than 22 years.
Samaritan members pay a monthly share of only $495 for a family of any size, while individuals pay $220 and couples pay $440, with lower amounts for adults under 26.
