Interview Experts from Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2019 Topics of Expertise Range from Archeology to Artificial Intelligence
For its 25-year existence, Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES) faculty members have been influential voices in many realms of apologetics, science, ethics, technology and much more.
As members of the media plan their stories for 2019, consider interviewing one or more of these academic experts from SES:
- Richard Land, SES President, Evangelical leader and member of President Donald Trump’s advisory board for faith issues—immigration, presidential history, religious liberty, church-state issues, artificial intelligence
- Brian Henson, teacher of Apologetics and Evangelism and Director of Youth Apologetics and Evangelism for Norm Geisler International Ministries—archaeology of Christmas
- Richard Howe, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Apologetics—philosophy and theology, occult, Star Wars film series, apologetics methodology
- Brian Huffling, Director of Ph.D. Program—existence and nature of God, hermeneutics and apologetics, biblical studies.
- Timothy Brown, Director of Bible College—artificial intelligence, philosophy of Thomas Aquinas
Several programs within SES also consider specialized topics, such as the following:
- Through the Center for the “Ethics of Emerging Technologies,” SES students and faculty delve into issues of morality and technology and how ethics intersects with both.
- The Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) program, which is offered primarily at just a few top-tier universities around the world, introduces students to the Christian worldview of how philosophy, politics and economics intersect, focusing on the works of Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Henry Hazlitt, Karl Marx, Thomas Aquinas, Robert Sirico, Jay Richards and others.
