Exposing Inequality with Factsand Compassion to the National Dialogue on Life, Family, Race, Religion, and Free Speech

December 14, 2021

WASHINGTON D.C. — People are often praised for their willingness to become activists for a cause. It’s laudable that people choose action over apathy, but far too often, society doesn’t want to be bothered by the facts. They get in the way of passions, emotions, and even ideology.

Ryan Bomberger, chief creative officer and co-founder of The Radiance Foundation (Radiance, www.radiance.life), is a self-proclaimed factivist who is enthusiastic about spreading the truth and exposing lies that the media and leftists declare—and the public believes. Bomberger’s goal is to help people become well-informed and make fact-based decisions rather than emotionally driven decisions based on opinion. This requires that data, statistics, historical documents, perspectives, and other vital information about social issues are made known and shared far and wide.  However, many choose to ignore or silence the truth.

Bomberger stated, “We’re a society that doesn’t want to be bothered by the facts because we live in a soundbite world. As a result, many are ill-equipped, relying on buzzwords, TikTok ‘wisdom’ or Twitter rants. There are dangerous consequences when individuals and society act without facts.

“Unfortunately, activism today is often reckless and baseless, perpetuating pain and forcing people to embrace a lie. We hear many accusations and blame, but few calls for reconciliation (like we saw beautifully displayed after the 2015 massacre in a Charleston, SC church). None of the highly charged and divisive issues our culture grapples with can experience healing without forgiveness.”

Bomberger continued, “I always want to be on the side of Truth. Ephesians 5:11—the bible verse that inspired The Radiance Foundation’s mission— compels us to illuminate the Truth in creative and uncompromising ways. ‘Have nothing to do with the wicked deeds of darkness but rather expose them.’ These are the words that challenge me to be a factivist, no matter how inconvenient or unwanted those facts may be.”

The Radiance Foundation is a faith-based, educational, life-affirming 501c3 nonprofit organization.
