From the earliest days of health care sharing ministries, objections to the methods of these ministries have been raised that are based on inaccuracies and misunderstandings. Myth #6: Health care sharing ministries are not regulated.
Reality: While it is true that health care sharing ministries are not subject to state health insurance laws (because they are not health insurance), that doesn’t mean HCSMs aren’t subject to any laws.
