Financial Expert Dan Celia: With Overvalued Stocks, a Correction Is on the Horizon

Markets Continue to See Record Highs, But Indicators Point to a Cooling-Off Period

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Since the eve of the presidential election, market numbers have fallen and risen, somewhat like Americans’ post-poll emotions.

Financial expert and nationally syndicated radio and television host Dan Celia, leader of Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries (FISM, www.financialissues.org), says that while the markets continue to see record highs, profit-taking yesterday indicates a possible cooling-off period.

“Now, amazingly, some traders have decided that a pro-growth economic environment will actually be good for the markets,” Celia said. “It has been laughable to see how quickly they set aside their irrational ideologies and came to their senses to realize that organic growth within the fundamentals of the economy may be a good thing after all. Their ideologies, of course, would not allow them to embrace this realization before the election.

“That being said,” Celia continued, “make no mistake that much of what I told my listeners and viewers several months ago is still true today. Stocks are overvalued, and I would expect that at some point we will witness more some profit-taking that could lead to a rational, real correction in some stock prices. But even now, in the absence of that, investors must take a pro-growth strategy to ensure a solid place in the markets over the long-term—eight to 10 years—and remain invested in the future of the economy.”

“Financial Issues” recently began streaming on its own YouTube Channel, Financial Issues with Dan Celia. The ministry also recently introduced the new Financial Issues app; learn more here. Besides more than 600 radio stations, “Financial Issues” is seen on the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) television network, reaching 45 million households, BizTV, which reaches millions more in major markets, and Dove-TV in the Pacific Northwest.
