RNC Wrap-up: What Impact Will Moms Have?
Moms for America’s Kimberly Fletcher: ‘The Best Way to Celebrate the 100th year of Womens’ Right to Vote is by Voting this November!’
August 31, 2020
DAYTON, OHIO — Moms for America® (www.MomsForAmerica.us), a national movement calling on mothers to restore values such as motherhood, marriage, womanhood and patriotism, is calling for Moms, and all parents, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Womens’ Right to Vote by voting this November.
With the closing of the Republican National Convention last week, the sharp divide between the right and the left is even more clear, especially on the family issues paramount to every mom in Moms for America.
Some key points emerged, and Kimberly Fletcher, founder and president of Moms for America® and a mother of eight, said, “With both parties seeking out the vote of conservative women voters, it’s important to remember the values we hold dear.”
This voting bloc, mistakenly rumored by the mainstream media to have ‘abandoned’ Trump lately, can be considered the Silent Majority, and they don’t take their firmly-held beliefs lightly.
“While the Republican National Convention served to humanize the president, it outlined and reinforced the party’s pro-life and pro-family platform—reinforcing its commitment to those issues of family values that matter most to Moms for America,” said Fletcher.
Most importantly, “The RNC’s focus on social issues struck a chord with Mothers we’ve heard from,” says Fletcher, who notes the riveting speech by Abby Johnson, the former Planned Parenthood employee who has become a fierce Pro-Life Advocate.
In her speech, Abby Johnson said she is grateful for President Trump’s pro-life advocacy: “I now support President [Donald] Trump because he has done more for the unborn than any other president…”
Fletcher found the RNC’s segments featuring regular citizens very effective, “They had ordinary people, not ‘show-biz’ types like the DNC had. I particularly enjoyed Melania Trump’s ‘special message for the mothers of this country,’ which discussed talking to our children about their changing world, with the reassurance that her husband is the one who will work for the things that matter most to Mothers like me.”
Fletcher found it gratifying to hear Melania Trump say, “In my husband, you have a president who will not stop fighting for you and your families.”
“It was also gratifying to see the video highlighting the mothers who serve in the White House,” said Fletcher, “and I felt that the message coming from both Melania and Nicholas Sandmann in particular was that ‘Our President has flaws, but he’s working for our family beliefs that we hold dear.’”
This is all in in sharp contrast with the DNC two weeks ago, which had no focus on the family issues that the silent majority of Moms want for their families; the Democratic Party even refused to allow pro-life Democrats to have any voice at all.
“The fact that Democrats failed to acknowledge or even address these important family issues provides even more reason for conservative women to come back into the fold of the Republican party, which cares deeply about these issues.”
Says Fletcher, “It’s up to Moms and Dads to determine which party, and specifically, which candidate, best represents YOUR family values and takes them to heart when determining and setting the course for our great nation going forward.”
Donald Trump’s closing speech Thursday night of the RNC crystalized the concerns of Moms and parents everywhere. “Your vote will decide whether we protect law-abiding Americans or whether we give free rein to violent anarchists, agitators, and criminals who threaten our citizens,” he said. “And this election will decide whether we will defend the American way of life or whether we allow a radical movement to completely dismantle and destroy it.”
To this, Fletcher says, “AMEN!”
The freedom and safety of our republic depends on whether America’s millions of moms will choose to make their voices heard. Moms for America® encourages mothers to sign the Declaration of Mothers, which includes statements about human rights, the role of a mother in the home and the education of her children. Mothers can add their names to those of more than 58,000 fellow American moms who have signed the Declaration of Mothers at https://www.momsforamerica.us/declaration-of-mothers/.
Moms for America® provides critical information to moms across the nation including MomVote 2020, which focuses on high-impact suburban areas in 15 critical election states. This is an extraordinary opportunity to have powerful influence and impact in the 2020 election simply by educating, engaging, and empowering moms through MomVote.
Moms for America is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education corporation dedicated to promoting a foundation of liberty through the mothers of America in their homes, within their communities, and with their vote.
