Tanner Cross is a Courageous Teacher Who Stood Up for the Love of His Students in a Culture Lacking Moral Leadership

WASHINGTON D.C. — In a move celebrated by conservatives across the country, the infamous Loudoun County School Board (LCSB) has agreed to “a permanent injunction prohibiting it from retaliating against Leesburg Elementary School teacher Tanner Cross for expressing his constitutionally protected views on the board’s transgender policy.” Cross famously refused to uphold the Loudoun County mandate that teachers call their students by their “preferred pronouns,” instead claiming that it would be wrong for him to follow an ordinance that did not abide by his biblical beliefs.
Fellow resident of Loudoun County Ryan Bomberger, chief creative officer and co-founder of The Radiance Foundation (Radiance, www.theradiancefoundation.org) commented on Cross’ victory against the LCSB and their leftist agenda.
“The harassment of educator Tanner Cross is emblematic of government-run schools gone wild,” Bomberger commented. “As a Loudoun County parent, it is appalling what toxic ideologies Loudoun County Public Schools are forcing upon students and faculty. Every American should rejoice that Cross’ First Amendment rights have been protected. Every parent should applaud a teacher like Tanner Cross who loves his students too much to lie to them, no matter the professional consequences. Every student should celebrate a courageous teacher who stands for what’s right in a culture that is severely lacking in moral leadership.”
“I love all of my students, but I will never lie to them, regardless of the consequences,” Cross previously stated. “I’m a teacher, but I serve God first, and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl, and vice versa, because it’s against my religion. It’s lying to a child. It’s abuse to a child. And it’s sinning against our God.”
