Samaritan Ministries, a Leader in Health Care Sharing, Sponsors Couples-Themed ‘Getaway Night’ in 16 Cities This Fall

Samaritan Ministries Provides Opportunity to Learn About Biblical Approach to Health Care as Sponsor of Tour Featuring Matthew West, Willie and Korie Robertson, and Dan Seaborn

PEORIA, Ill.—Beginning next week, Samaritan Ministries International, one of the leading health care sharing ministries in the nation, is hitting the road as one of just two national sponsors, along with Compassion, of the 2019 Getaway Night Tour, with stops in 16 cities in September and October. Along the way, Samaritan staff will be in each city to explain Biblical, God-honoring health care sharing—and the advantages of health care sharing through Samaritan Ministries.

The Getaway Night Tour is a relaxing, encouraging and fun evening for couples and features recording artist Matthew West, as well as special guests Willie and Korie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” and Winning At Home’s Dan Seaborn.

At each event, Dustin Garrett, Field Specialist for Samaritan, will present information from the stage as well as share two videos (view here and here) about health care sharing through Samaritan Ministries and answer questions.

“It is always an honor to be on the road as a representative for Samaritan Ministries International,” Garrett said. “This ministry has changed my life as an employee, and I know it has changed the lives of thousands of families who are engaging in the Biblical model of health care sharing through Samaritan. The Getaway Night Tour will be extra exciting because it is a time for couples to truly devote themselves to each other, let go of the stresses of life—even if it is for one evening—and just relax with each other so they can be rejuvenated for their busy lives and their families as they also serve God.”

Stops along the tour that aim to give married couples a night off to laugh, engage and grow together as a couple without distractions include: Covington, Louisiana (Sept. 12); Dallas, Texas (Sept. 13); Memphis, Tennessee (Sept. 14); Little Rock, Arkansas (Sept. 15); Charlotte, North Carolina (Sept. 19); Lexington, South Carolina (Sept. 20); Panama City, Florida (Sept. 21); Clearwater, Florida (Sept. 22); Roanoke, Virginia (Sept. 26); New Bern, North Carolina (Sept. 27); Durham, North Carolina (Sept. 28); Knoxville, Tennessee (Sept. 29); Paducah, Kentucky (Oct. 3); Cincinnati, Ohio (Oct. 4); Detroit, Michigan (Oct. 5); and Michigan City, Indiana (Oct. 6).

“I am so excited for ‘Getaway Night’ this fall,” four-time Grammy nominee Matthew West shared on the Getaway Night website. “My wife and I know how important it has been over the years to make time together a priority; no kids, just us! It’s hard to make time for that, but so essential to a healthy marriage and friendship with your spouse. That’s really the motivation behind the special night we have created; creating a one-of-a-kind evening filled with music, laughs, storytelling, and most importantly a chance to GET AWAY from the chaos of our everyday lives to focus on making our marriages a priority. I can’t wait!”

Samaritan Ministries has practiced health care sharing for 25 years, with a focus on an affordable, Biblical model that gives its members freedom to make the best health care decisions for their families—and their budgets.

Across the country and around the world, more than 82,000 Samaritan Ministries member households (270,000-plus individuals) help their fellow Christians with their health care needs by sending monthly financial shares directly to other families while also sending prayers and notes of encouragement.

Each month, Samaritan’s growing Biblical community shares approximately $29 million in needs person to person. In fact, Samaritan Ministries members have shared $1.8 billion in needs over 25 years; contact Samaritan Ministries for details or visit this link.
