KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As students across the country prepare for summer vacation, scores of coaches and student-athletes are looking to return to a summer of fun and fulfillment, both athletically and spiritually.
For the thousands of student-athletes who will attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.org) Camps across the nation and the world this year, the experience is certain to be life changing.
“FCA Camps are an incredible time of inspiration and perspiration, and we are so excited to see what God does this year,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson. “Through camps, we are taking the Gospel of Jesus to every camper in every area of sport, and we couldn’t be more ready for the life change God will bring.”
FCA welcomed 57,613 coaches and athletes to its programs in the summer of 2021.These coaches and athletes attended 697 Camps all around the world.
FCA Camps allow coaches and athletes to experience an exciting, inspiring, and healthy environment that allows them to pursue their passion for sport while also clearly seeing Christ’s passion for them.
Said one recent camper, “FCA Camp has been the greatest experience of my life! Anyone who has not gone to FCA Camp is missing out on one great experience.”
Six different types of FCA Camps offer competitors the opportunity to reach their potential through athletic, spiritual, and leadership training, including Sports Camps (multi-sport and sport-specific camps); Leadership Camps (developing coaches and athletes to be leaders); Coaches Camps (designed to minister, equip, and encourage); Team Camps (allowing student-athletes to come together to compete); Power Camps (typically for athletes 8-12 years of age); and Partnership Camps (FCA partners with some of the best organizations).
Several Camps have already begun this year, while hundreds are set for June, July, and August. For more information about FCA Camps, click here.
FCA’s theme for 2022 is Every, based on Ephesians 1:3: “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” FCAreminds Christian coaches and athletes that they already have everything they need in Christ and encourages them to seek Him both on and off the field.
After extensive growth, FCA has reached millions of people with the Gospel. View a timeline of FCA’s 68-year history here, including videos, quotes, articles, leader profiles, Camp themes, photos and more.
