Former Senior Peruvian Officials to Call for Action Against Castillo Regime

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The election in June of Pedro Castillo, a Communist with ties to the political arm of the Shining Path terrorist organization, as president of Peru has set in train a strategic windfall for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and a mortal peril for the United States.

Two top officials of previous Peruvian governments, former First Vice President and Foreign Minister Francisco Tudela and former Vice Interior Minister Dardo Lopez-Dolz, will address these dangers for their own country, for the Western Hemisphere and for vital American interests at home and abroad during an online press conference tomorrow from 9:30-10:30 a.m. ET.
