New American Family Association Film, Featuring the Most Respected Biblical Scholars, Helps Christians Rest Assured in Bible’s Authority

TUPELO, Miss.—The new feature-length film, The God Who Speaks from American Family Studioswas named the “Best Documentary” this past weekend at the Christian Worldview Film Festival.

The fifth annual festival in Tennessee wrapped on Saturday and honored Christian films in 10 categories. Providing an excellent opportunity to showcase the work of Christian filmmakers, the festival encourages networking with others in the industry. More than 80 films were screened over three days with the aim of communicating truth through a solid biblical worldview.

A division of the American Family Association (AFA), American Family Studios explores the truth and authority of the Bible in the powerful 90-minute documentary, The God Who Speaks. Available now on DVD and digital rental, the movie features some of the world’s most respected biblical scholars who shed light on the authority of the Bible’s truths.

“All of us at American Family Studios are honored by the Best Documentary accolade at this past weekend’s Christian Worldview Film Festival,” said M.D. Perkins, director of “The God Who Speaks.” “For everyone who worked on the film, it was labor of love—our love for the truth of the Bible, for the historical significance of how the Bible has reached every believer today, and most importantly, our love of God and His Son, Jesus.”

Since its Feb. 1 debut, the film has enabled thousands of Christians to better defend their faith, talk to skeptics about the truth of the Bible and rest assured in the authority of God’s Word. “The God Who Speaks” aims to clear up misconceptions about the Bible through major players in apologetics, including the late R.C. Sproul of Ligonier Ministries, Alistair Begg of Parkside Church, Norman Geisler of Veritas International University and co-founder of Southern Evangelical Seminary, Josh McDowell of Josh McDowell Ministries, R. Albert Mohler of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Alex McFarland of Alex McFarland Ministries and Frank Turek of Cross Examined Ministries, along with many others.

The Christian Worldview Film Festival featured a wide variety of genres and categories including narrative feature films, documentaries, short films, young filmmakers, promotional media, missions awareness and sanctity of life films, all produced with a distinct Christian worldview and that are appropriate for all ages.

“The God Who Speaks” is also produced by Jeff Chamblee, director of American Family Studios. For more on the film or to view the trailer, click here. The two-DVD set with two hours of bonus content, as well as a digital rental, is available for purchase at afastore.net/the-god-who-speaks.
