Ministry Enables Generous Sponsors to Tell 35,860 People Around the World About Jesus, as Just $1 Can Reach 20 Villagers for Christ

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—Think of what a dollar buys these days. A candy bar? A pack of gum? One song download? Maybe a few back-to-school pencils?

Now consider this—on average, one U.S. dollar brings Christian radio programming to 20 people in villages where The Tide® (www.thetide.org) global radio ministry works.

Recently at the Creation Festival, which brought thousands of music fans to Mt. Union, Pa., visitors to The Tide ministry’s booth made it possible for gospel radio programming to reach 35,860 people and tell them about the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

“Our time at Creation was amazing, because not only were we able to heighten awareness about The Tide ministry, but we also educated people about how easy—and affordable—it can be to reach hundreds or perhaps even thousands with a relatively small monetary gift,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “Imagine the impact we can make now across the globe to talk about salvation and Jesus’ saving grace!”

The Tide ministry has had a presence at Creation for several years and recently unveiled its newest initiative called “Every Knee, Every Tongue,” which allows Christians to spread the Word of God and proclaim the gospel message—not just locally, but around the world.

Through “Every Knee, Every Tongue,” all are welcome to sponsor Christian radio broadcasts produced by The Tide ministry and recorded by local indigenous pastors in both populated and remote communities around the world. Rooted in Romans 14:11, “Every Knee, Every Tongue” raises the question: How will every knee bow and every tongue proclaim praise to God if we don’t share what Jesus has done with others? Later this year, The Tide ministry will offer programming in its 25th heart language—Isaan, spoken by 19 million people in Thailand. That initiative will allow Thailand to join multiple regions of Zimbabwe, India, Nigeria, Nepal, Bhutan, Albania and Kosovo, where The Tide ministry is already active in broadcasting Gospel radio programming—in the languages people were born to speak.
