The Tide® Ministry Introduces New Life in Jesus to New Believers in India
70-Year-Old Ministry Recently Introduced Radio Programming in India’s Telugu Language, Spoken by 74 Million People
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—The Tide® (www.thetide.org) global radio ministry has been reaching people across the world for Christ—in the languages they were born to speak—for the past 70 years.
Now, millions more will have a chance to hear about the Gospel and Jesus’ saving grace, as The Tide ministry introduces radio programming in its 24th heart language—Telugu in India, spoken by 74 million people.
“The Tide global radio ministry has been sharing the Gospel in India for 40 years, and we continue to hear from new believers who have found new life in Christ,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “Even though our calling is so great, it is incredible when we hear about just one life changed for Christ. It makes these past 70 years of our ministry all worth it, and we look forward to the next 70 years, as we reach even more for our Savior.”

As it continues to reflect on 70 years, The Tide ministry broadcasts the Gospel of Jesus Christ through radio programming in 24 languages around the world, bringing the truth and hope of the Savior to people in the language they were born to speak.
