Thinking About Supporting Caravan Migrants? Think About the Legal Immigrants Like Brigitte Gabriel Who Sacrificed So Much for Their Citizenship
In New Book ‘RISE,’ Gabriel Writes Extensively How Immigration Policies are Fundamentally Changing the Nation
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Torn about standing up for thousands of migrants who are pushing their way into the United States?
Think about how those actions affect the many who sacrificed so much and often waited years to legally become a citizen of the United States, says New York Times best-selling author Brigitte Gabriel. In her new book, “RISE: In Defense of Judeo-Christian Values and Freedom,” Gabriel writes extensively about how immigration policies are fundamentally changing the nation.
Gabriel also writes in a new commentary for The Christian Post that those who are supporting this attempted invasion disgrace legal immigrants, such as herself, who went to extraordinary lengths to achieve citizenship legally.
“Tens of thousands of dollars were invested after years of penny pinching, and countless hours were spent studying American civics and history,” Gabriel said. “Lawyers, paperwork, medical testing—it’s all part of the well-worth-it process of coming to America the legal and legitimate way. Those who took the time to follow the rule of law and went to these extraordinary lengths, making tremendous personal and financial sacrifices, are watching this caravan invasion on television and those who support it with resentment and betrayal.”
Gabriel also noted that after thousands of caravan members stormed the border at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry, border patrol agents were forced to respond with nonlethal tear gas, after having lethal objects thrown at them by the invaders.
“Rather than express support and gratitude for those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect this nation, Democrat officials chose a different route—one that would have been political suicide a decade ago,” Gabriel added. “All should take time to think about the fact that America is not a nation built by immigrants, but a nation founded by settlers and built by citizens. Immigrants become citizens, and then add to the fabric of the American ideal.
“Immigrants who make this country better do so assimilating to America—not the other way around—as well as by following the law, not breaking it.”
“RISE” contains Gabriel’s most hard-hitting, explosive message yet, by equipping Americans to fight the efforts of the nation’s enemies to undermine the U.S. culture at every level. It’s not only a warning but also a rallying cry to unite Americans of all backgrounds in a fight for the survival of the nation, the protection of the Judeo-Christian values upon which it was built, and the preservation of the freedoms on which future generations depend.
In the 10 years since her groundbreaking first book took the world by storm, Gabriel has boldly faced death threats from terrorists, condemnation from critics and attacks from the “PC Police,” yet she refuses to back down. Gutsy, spirited, undauntable and resolute, Gabriel now issues a new clarion call to America that addresses the historical and religious basis of our greatest threats to national security.
She started her organization, ACT for America—now approaching 1 million members—in an effort to protect the citizens of the United States from the horrors she experienced as a girl. She is also the celebrated author of two New York Times best-sellers, “Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America” (2006) and “They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It” (2010). “RISE” is published by Frontline, an imprint of Charisma House, which has published 14 New York Times best-sellers.
