Thousands Give Their Hearts to Christ and Recommit to Live for God at FCA’s Fields of Faith

More Than 240,000 Gather on Over 500 Athletic Fields Around the World for Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Fields of Faith

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The largest college football stadiums in the nation can seat 100,000 screaming fans or more. Multiply that by about 2½ for the incredible reach of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA, 15th annual Fields of Faith events in nearly every state and in countries around the world.

This season’s Fields of Faith events welcomed more than 240,000 participants on over 500 athletic fields, where 4,162 committed their lives for the first time to Christ and another 4,859 recommitted their hearts to Jesus.

The student-led and student-driven events are aimed to bring glory to God for an evening of inspiring words, worship music and prayer. An added benefit is that students can challenge their peers to read their Bibles, apply God’s Word to their lives and pray.

“Wow! God amazed us yet again,” said FCA Executive Vice President of Ministry Advancement Jeff Martin. “FCA is so blessed to see God continue to work through Fields of Faith. We are grateful for every student who was passionate to bring Fields of Faith to their school, as well as the churches, parents, volunteers, coaches, speakers, musicians and businesses who supported the student organizers. These students who experienced life change through Christ will now be a light to their friends, classmates, teachers, teammates and family members. Praise the Lord!”

Fields of Faith began in 2004 under Martin as peer-to-peer gatherings that inspire students to refuel their faith and get back to the basics of reading God’s Word through worship and personal testimonies, sparking a spiritual movement for God. Over 15 years, Fields of Faith events have impacted well over a million people.

This year’s attendance set a new record over 2017, when over 200,000 gathered on about 500 fields. Students shared their testimonies and photos from Fields of Faith on social media at #FOF18:

  • God is doing huge things on this campus. I’m beyond thankful for nights like this
  • 12,000 students to hear the gospel.
  • Our God is SO great, He never fails to amaze! What an awesome night, God we thank you for your Glory, all the blessings and so much more that we don’t deserve. But because you love us, you give us life every day, thank you for the lives YOU touched tonight.
  • Can’t wait to see what God does to the hearts of the people in attendance
  • A huge thanks to all of the volunteers! It takes lots of helpers to pull off an event with 1000+ in attendance! Blessed by all of the great support for our youth!
