What’s in Store for America if Leaders Pray?

December 3, 2019

Several weeks ago, the American Pastors Network (APN, www.AmericanPastorsNetwork.net) kicked off an important initiative called “52 Tuesdays,” a dedicated season of prayer leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

Now, with 49 Tuesdays from the Nov. 3, 2020, election APN President Sam Rohrer says citizens will be compelled to choose who is best prepared to lead this nation civilly.

“From State Legislatures to the President of the United States, we as citizens will not only be forced to choose how to vote, we’ll also have the opportunity, freedom and duty to choose for whom to vote,” he said. “The question is: How will America choose? How will those who call themselves Christians choose? How will you choose?

“APN is using the 2020 election to help remind each of us who fear God, love America and value our freedom to join with us and a growing group of citizens, pastors, churches and other prayer efforts to pray for ourselves, our nation and our leaders,” Rohrer added. “Our goal is 10,000 identified and prepared prayer warriors to join the expanding army of people who know how to access the God of Heaven and lead the way through repentance to revival.”

Those who desire to join APN as a prayer warrior for “52 Tuesdays” may sign up by adding their name at www.AmericanPastorsNetwork.net.

“Because of the serious condition of our nation and God’s clear warnings to us, the importance of prayer, how we pray and what God requires cannot be overstated,” Rohrer said. “That is why APN’s ‘Stand in the Gap Today’ radio program is devoting most Tuesdays to some aspect of prayer for our nation.”

On today’s program, Rohrer and his co-hosts will welcome historian, author, speaker, and founder and president of WallBuilders David Barton. The theme of the program will be “When Leaders Pray.” Listen live here from noon to 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, Dec. 3, or hear an archived program at the “Stand in the Gap Today” radio page.

Rohrer also shares biblical insights on APN’s daily 60-second radio feature, “Stand in the Gap Minute,” heard on hundreds of stations nationwide, and also co-hosts the weekly television program, “Stand in the Gap TV.”
