PassionLife equips believers to ‘storm the stronghold’ and answer the call to end abortion on a global scale
‘The only way to effectively challenge the moral crisis of abortion is to ignite rescue movements through whole communities of churches in the neediest countries,’ says PassionLife President Pastor John Ensor
MARIETTA, Ga. — According to the World Health Organization, roughly 73 million induced abortions occur worldwide each year, with 61% of all unintended pregnancies and 29% of all pregnancies in general ending with an abortion. Despite prevalent media coverage, America accounts for less than 3% of worldwide abortions, making the problem of abortion an international humanitarian crisis. That is why PassionLife, a pro-life global missions partner to missionaries and indigenous Christian leaders living in countries where abortion and infanticide are especially concentrated, is not only working to raise awareness of the global abortion epidemic but also equipping believers to make a difference in their communities.
“The only way to effectively challenge the moral crisis of abortion, given its depth and breadth, is to ignite rescue movements through whole communities of churches in the neediest countries,” said PassionLife President Pastor John Ensor. “It’s time to think outside our own border and give ourselves to places of greatest need, where child-killing — abortion, infanticide and gendercide — is most concentrated.”
PassionLife equips leaders to answer the call by training pastors and leaders in biblical pro-life ethics and crisis intervention strategies using a simple 4 Questions format that is easy for anyone to understand and share with others. Rapid reproduction is the key to unleashing a positive wave across many countries, with thousands of Good Neighbors helping thousands of mothers choose life. For example, in July 2025, PassionLife met with 800 pastors and Christian leaders from towns across Guatemala. Using a clear “hear it, do it, share it” approach to rescuing the innocent one mother at a time, these leaders identified 6,769 additional pastors in their hometowns, who would be happy to learn the 4 Questions approach to defending human life and would agree to teach their church members. The original 800 set a final goal to raise up 1,322,144 people by year’s end to treasure human life, reject abortion and be the Good Samaritan to women and couples in a pregnancy-related crisis.
To make these big events possible, PassionLife invites supporters to host small events in their homes, called “Storming the Stronghold.” They invite a dozen friends to come, enjoy a dessert and meet one of PassionLife’s leaders. Attendees will learn where abortion, infanticide and gendercide have the strongest hold in the world today, and the various strategies to break in and break down (“storm”) those strongholds. They’ll learn how they, too, can be part of advancing the Gospel of Life in the neediest places, and hear about the ups and downs of rescuing the most vulnerable in other countries and cultures.
According to Ensor, “We don’t need more experts. We need everyday people who know just enough to make a life-saving difference. There are millions of unborn children whose lives are on the line — it is our mission to prepare millions more who are ready to rescue them, one mother at a time, as neighbors helping neighbors.”
Since 2010, PassionLife has worked as a pro-life global missions partner to missionaries and Indigenous Christian leaders in China, Romania, Cuba, India, Vietnam and other countries where the plague of abortion, infanticide and gendercide is especially concentrated. In such places, PassionLife disciples people in a Biblical worldview of human value, teaches them how to make a case for life in a secular culture, sees abortion guilt and grief as an entry point for the Gospel’s offer of forgiveness and freedom, and provides models of pregnancy crisis intervention services that they can adapt to their culture and neighborhood.
“PassionLife,” a new half-hour show in partnership with NRBTV, highlights the ministry’s work around the globe, revealing how dedicated staff and volunteers teach the Gospel of Life to those in the most vulnerable situations. The show airs every Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. EST.
