Why New Yorkers must remember 9/11 ahead of upcoming Mayoral Election
Dr. Alex McFarland is calling on Americans to never forget the most lethal terrorist attacks in history and to fight for the sanctity of New York City
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Today, as America mourns the more than 3,000 lives that were lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland echoes the national vow to never forget the most devastating attacks of terrorism in history.
McFarland well remembers being on the ground only two days after 9/11, ministering to hundreds of people and praying with them. People were weeping and desperately searching for their loved ones in the rubble. He recounts his visit with the famed Ladder Co. 12, the leadership of Mayor Giuliani, and the National Guard Armory, which became the headquarters of trying to reconnect the lost family members by displaying posters of the missing, flowers for the lost, and the center of the desperate pleas of parents asking anyone who would listen if they had seen their child. He recounts a copy of The New York Times that he still has today, which features full-page ads of support, sympathy, and mourning from France, Germany, Italy and Israel’s heartfelt two-page ad.
As New York City’s Mayoral Election comes on the heels of the anniversary of 9/11, McFarland is urging New Yorkers to vote for the candidate who will protect their city from the horrors that happened 24 years ago.
“This will be the last 9/11 remembered before the people of NYC finally succumb to the ‘worldview’ that actually did this to them,” said McFarland. “At least in 2001, it was a little harder to attempt to take over New York City; terrorists had to crash planes into buildings. In 2025, it will be much easier for terrorists to try to take over; the citizens will just vote them in.
“How demoralizing would it be to have a Muslim socialist mayor simply voted in by the citizens of NYC, who only 24 years ago were brought to their knees in a horrific attack by the very same ‘worldview.’ It would be like putting Hideki Tojo on the seal of HI, or Satan as the symbol of Christianity… New Yorkers need to wake up! We must never forget 9/11.”
