Human Flourishing Alliancelaunches to strengthen hope and healing for America’s heroes
A national coalition uniting churches, counseling organizations and community partners to bring care and flourishing to warfighters, veterans, first responders and their families
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Today at the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC, www.aacc.net) World Conference in Nashville, Tenn., the Human Flourishing Alliance officially launched. The Allianceis a national coalition committed to restoring hope, healing lives and strengthening care for America’s heroes and their families.
The Alliance is convened by the AACC and co-founded by partners including LUKE, which has employed more than 15,000 healthcare professionals in support of the U.S. Government; Logos, the most complete Bible study platform; City Serve; and other respected organizations from the church, healthcare and service communities. Together, these organizations are committed to ensuring that warfighters, veterans, first responders and their families receive access to whole-person care rooted in the principles of human flourishing.
The mission of the Human Flourishing Alliance is to move beyond mental health alone and advance a fuller vision of human flourishing: hope, healing, wellness, strong families and moral grounding. Central to this mission is widening the circle of care to include churches and faith-based organizations, equipping them to stand alongside America’s heroes. By empowering congregations and community partners, the Alliance ensures care is accessible, scalable and rooted where families live. The Alliance envisions a nation where faith communities play an active role in meeting the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and relational needs of those who courageously protect our country.
“This is a pivotal moment for our nation’s heroes,” the founding members shared in a joint statement. “Too many face trauma and stress in silence. The Alliance meets them where they are by equipping trusted, faith-based coaches, counselors, chaplains, and care organizations to restore lives and strengthen families, ensuring no hero is left without care.”

AACC is committed to encouraging, strengthening, and serving Christian mental health professionals, including licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, addictions counselors, and counselors, as well as Christian life and mental health coaches, pastors, lay counselors and the community at large. In addition, AACC is on a mission to help the church worldwide become more caring and mental health-friendly, as they seek to champion spiritual practices and spirituality within mental health care. AACC also hosts the biennial World Conference and the Mega National Christian Counseling and Coaching Conference to help men and women grow in their faith and counseling journey.
