CBMC unites men nationwide in the power of prayer and fellowship

Monthly gatherings in Ohio, Indianapolis, Maryland and more pair coffee, prayer and stories of faith for business leaders

CHATTANOOGA, TN — On the mission to reach, empower and deploy generations of men in the workplace to live out their faith and multiply their impact for Christ, Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) is connecting like-minded businessmen nationwide through the power of prayer and fellowship at its Prayer Breakfasts and Coffee Connections.

A monthly event put on by multiple CBMC chapters in Ohio, Coffee Connections is designed to help business and professional men build relationships and share stories of faith in the workplace.

The Coffee Connection events, held on the second Tuesday of each month, bring together participants over coffee for an hour of connection, encouragement and inspiration. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8. Register here.

The announcement comes as new data highlights coffee’s central role in workplace productivity. According to a study published by the New York Post, 77 percent of coffee drinkers require two or more cups to feel productive on a workday, with nearly a quarter saying they especially rely on coffee on Mondays. Six in 10 employees said coffee helps improve their mood at work.

Matt Trayler, Director of Programs at CBMC, said the statistics underscore the importance of pairing coffee with meaningful connection. “Coffee may power our productivity, but what truly sustains us are the relationships we build,” Trayler said. “Coffee Connection is more than a caffeine boost — it’s an opportunity to be inspired by real stories of transformation and to share life with others walking a similar path.”

In addition to Coffee Connections, CBMC’s Prayer Breakfasts allow men to share a meal and connect with like-minded men in the workplace through the power of prayer. At each prayer breakfast, men will hear from local leaders who will deliver inspiring messages of inspiration and hope.

“Everyone has a story — and when we share them in a welcoming environment, those stories can change lives,” Trayler said. “We’ve seen men find encouragement, wisdom and purpose by connecting with peers at our Prayer Breakfasts, and that’s why these events continue to grow.”
