Nick Vujicic’s ‘Champions for the Brokenhearted’ challenges others to live like Jesus
As the Christmas season approaches, NickV Ministries is calling on Christians to point the brokenhearted toward the Lord’s hope
PLANO, Texas — While the Christmas season is a time for celebration and creating memories with loved ones, it can be one of the most difficult times of the year. A survey from the National Alliance on Mental Health reported that “64 percent of individuals living with a mental illness reported that their conditions worsened around the holidays.” For those searching for God’s comfort and His transformative healing, Founder and CEO of NickV Ministries Nick Vucjcic’s inspiring new book “Champions for the Brokenhearted” is equipping others to champion the brokenhearted while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ this Christmas season and beyond.
Since 2005, NickV Ministrieshas been sharing the hope of Jesus Christ; over 800 million people have heard the Gospel through NickV Ministries events and broadcasts.
Nick’s highly anticipated book is slated for release on November 16, commemorating the 20th anniversary of NickV Ministries. Twenty years in, NickV Ministries shows no sign of slowing. They have set a truly ambitious goal: to reach 1 billion people with the Gospel.
According to Nick, “The journey of this book began long before any pages were written. It began in hospital rooms and homeless shelters. In prison cells and pregnancy clinics. In churches, in tents, in back alleys, and on quiet car rides, where someone whispered their pain for the first time. It was in those sacred spaces that I realized the Gospel is not just good news — it’s urgent news. Especially for the brokenhearted.”
Nick understands firsthand the difficulties life can hold. Born without arms and legs, Nick struggled with depression and loneliness throughout his childhood and adolescence, culminating in a suicide attempt at the age of 10.
Nick shared, “Growing up, it wasn’t easy. Throughout my childhood, I struggled with depression and
loneliness. I even questioned my purpose and tried to take my own life when I was 10 years old. But Jesus met me in my pain.
“Since then, I’ve travelled to 84 countries to share my story with millions of people, from students and young people to business professionals and even world leaders. I want to share a special message with the world based on my own story and encounter with Jesus: There is hope.”
Pre-orders are now open, and as a special bonus, readers will receive instant access to the introduction chapter — completely free. This book promises to inspire, uplift and equip those called to serve the hurting, the hopeless and the overlooked in society.
“Brokenness doesn’t discriminate,” remarked Nick. “It doesn’t care about your income or your zip code. It doesn’t care about your title or how many Bible verses you’ve memorized. Brokenness is the common denominator of humanity. And yet, in a world that hides scars and rewards perfection, we forget that Jesus came for the brokenhearted, championing the struggling and overlooked, and offering them healing and hope.
“This isn’t just a book — it’s a mission for every believer who dares to say ‘send me’ to the broken, the forgotten and the hurting,” said Nick.
