A beheaded baby Jesus and attacks on Christmas; Muslim aggression towards Christianity must be met with firm faith, says Dr. Alex McFarland
‘We need to turn Christmas into a launching point for a new year full of faith, truth and adherence to the Word of God’
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Christians around the world are horrified at the display of religious animosity in Brussels after a Christmas nativity display was brutally attacked and a figure of the baby Jesus was beheaded. The nativity scene, an art piece meant to introduce “an inclusive mix of skin tones” into the Christmas story, was initially met with uncertainty from the local community, but the outright disfigurement of the baby Jesus doll has been met with outrage. The damage was so severe that the nativity set cannot be repaired or reused.
“The attack on Christmas across Western countries is escalating,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. “The greater Muslim organization is set to undermine and erase Christianity around the world, and this attack in Brussels is just the latest in a long line of assaults. For Muslims in Christian countries, Christmas is ‘haram,’ or an indoctrination of children. Christmas markets are being shut down for ‘security risks,’ and even in America, major companies are rejecting Christmas marketing to appear ‘culturally appropriate.’
“This Christmas, let us be found praying for our nation built on Judeo-Christian law, for the church to stand up for truth, and for Jesus to be the focal point of this holiday season. We need to turn Christmas into a launching point for a new year full of faith, truth and adherence to the Word of God.”
