CBMC unveils 2026 mission, vision and five-year goals to meet men in a changing workplace
Christian Business Men’s Connection outlines nationwide strategy to reach, empower and deploy men for Gospel impact through 2030
CHATTANOOGA, TN — Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) has unveiled a renewed mission, vision and five-year strategic goals designed to reach, empower and deploy men to live out their faith in the marketplace in 2026 and beyond.
The announcement comes as new research underscores the changing expectations of younger workers. According to Deloitte’s 2025 Gen Z and Millennial Survey, younger generations prioritize career progression, but are often less motivated by traditional leadership roles, instead emphasizing work-life balance, learning opportunities, meaningful work and personal well-being.
CBMC, founded more than 90 years ago, says those shifts confirm the urgency of its long-standing mission to meet men where they are — in the workplace — with a Gospel-centered approach that addresses both faith and vocation.
“For more than nine decades, CBMC has stood firm in its calling to reach men in the marketplace with the Gospel and help them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ,” said CBMC Director of Programs, Matt Trayler. “The workplace is evolving, and so must we. God has given us renewed clarity and a bold vision for the future.”
CBMC has articulated a 2026 vision “to see men’s lives, families and workplaces transformed by God through a growing evangelism and disciple-making movement in every community across the nation.” The organization’s mission remains “to reach, empower and deploy generations of men in the workplace to live out their faith and multiply their impact for Christ.”
Those commitments are rooted in Scripture, including Romans 12:2 and Isaiah 60:22 for the organization’s vision, and Mark 4:26–29 and Psalm 78:6–7 for its mission.
Over the past year, CBMC leaders prayerfully examined both the organization’s internal strengths and the rapidly changing external environment in which it ministers. Remote work, shifting career expectations and generational turnover have reshaped how men view leadership, success and purpose.
“Younger generations of men are asking deeper questions about meaning, balance and impact,” Trayler said. “They want to grow professionally, but they also want their work to matter and their lives to be whole. CBMC exists to help men integrate faith with every aspect of their work and leadership.”
To guide that work, CBMC has established five-year goals that will inform its annual objectives through 2030, organized around three core competencies: reach, empower and deploy.
Under “reach,” CBMC aims to see men come to Christ and believers actively engaged in the mission. By 2030, the organization projects 10,000 commitments for Christ and 10,000 newly engaged men across its communities nationwide.
“Empower” focuses on equipping men with the tools, resources and relationships necessary to live out their faith with responsibility and confidence. By 2030, CBMC projects 2,200 additional “Pauls,” 5,000 new “Timothys,” and 1,000 men completing a defined growth pathway. This goal is in part with the organization’s Operation Timothyrelational disciple-making tool, inspired by what is seen in the New Testament when Paul discipled Timothy.
Finally, “deploy” centers on mobilizing men into leadership roles where they can multiply their impact for Christ. CBMC projects the development of 3,500 new leaders and the launch of 150 new communities nationwide by 2030.
“These goals reflect our desire to see every man on mission,” Trayler said. “When men are reached by the Gospel, empowered as disciples and deployed as leaders, the ripple effects extend to families, workplaces and entire communities.”
Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) exists to see men’s lives, families and workplaces transformed by God through a growing evangelism and discipleship movement in every community across the nation. Reaching, empowering and deploying generations of men in the workplace to live out their faith and multiply their impact for Christ is now more relevant than ever. As men strive for meaningful lives, CBMC is prepared to share the hope of the Gospel and offer essential tools for spiritual growth. Through Gospel-centered peer advisory groups and mentoring relationships, CBMC helps professionals achieve their business objectives and personal development goals.
