Linear streaming, F.A.S.T. platforms expand access to faith-based content nationwide

In 2022, building on a decades-long partnership with In Touch Ministries, Apex Media Partners announced the launch of In Touch+, an innovative linear streaming network designed specifically for free ad-supported streaming television (F.A.S.T.) platforms. The initiative leverages emerging internet technologies, the rapid adoption of smart TVs and the growth of hybrid distribution models to broadcast the Gospel of Jesus Christ through modern delivery systems.

Since the initial launch of In Touch+, Apex Media Partners has executed an aggressive expansion strategy, onboarding new national distribution partners and extending the network’s reach across multiple platforms.

Most recently, the company spearheaded the expansion of In Touch+ programming through partnerships with Comcast Big South and Comcast Houston. The network officially went live on Comcast Big South on Nov. 12 and Comcast Houston on Nov. 18, making In Touch+ available to subscribers across nine Southern states.

“Bringing the diverse, family-focused programming of the In Touch+ network to households everywhere has always been the ministry’s vision,” Hartunian said. “Expanding to Comcast subscribers across two regions, in 40 markets, 18 cities and 10 states marks a significant milestone for us.”

According to Apex Media Partners, ongoing onboarding of F.A.S.T. platforms and traditional media is expected to expand In Touch+ access to approximately 81% of U.S. households, significantly increasing exposure for faith-based programming. On December 16, In Touch Ministries launched In Touch+ on Xumo Play in the U.S. and Canada, giving viewers of the free streaming service access across multiple devices. Xumo Play features more than 350 channels and 15,000 on-demand titles, including the In Touch+ channel.
