New year, renewed purpose: CBMC urges businessmen to invite God into work and life
Christian Business Men’s Connection programs connect like-minded professionals to deepen relationships, integrate faith and multiply their impact for Christ
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — It’s still early in the new year, and today Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) is urging businessmen to make a 2026 resolution with lasting impact: invite God into every part of their professional and personal lives.
Data from Drive Research shows more than half of New Year’s goal-setters plan to improve personal relationships, and 85% believe the effects of their resolutions will extend beyond a single year. CBMC leaders say those trends reflect a desire among men for purpose-driven community, deeper faith and guidance that shapes everyday decisions.
“At the start of every year, men are thinking about what really matters — their families, their work and the kind of legacy they are building,” said Matt Trayler, director of programs for Christian Business Men’s Connection. “CBMC exists to help men align those priorities with God’s design, so the goals they pursue lead to transformation, not just temporary improvement.”
Founded to reach and disciple men in the workplace, CBMC provides Gospel-centered environments where professionals build authentic relationships, grow spiritually and learn to steward their influence for Christ. Through local teams, CBMC connects like-minded businessmen who want accountability, encouragement and practical tools to integrate faith into every area of life.
CBMC offers three primary ways for men to connect, each designed to meet distinct needs while advancing the same mission: transformed lives and multiplied impact.
Young Professionals is a peer advisory initiative for men ages 25 to 40 who want to integrate faith and work while navigating early- and mid-career challenges. Through facilitated groups and mentoring from seasoned executives, participants develop leadership skills and discover their God-given purpose.
Trusted Advisor Forums bring together Christ-centered businessmen who desire counsel from peers who share both professional experience and spiritual conviction. These confidential forums allow members to address real business issues with men committed to biblical principles.
Connect3 teams focus on weekly connection — to God, to one another and to the cause of bringing the Gospel into the workplace. These groups emphasize fellowship, prayer and Bible study, helping men develop natural and effective ways to share their faith.
According to CBMC, the purpose of each program extends beyond individual growth. The ministry emphasizes multiplication — men transformed by Christ influencing families, companies and communities.
“CBMC gives me the tools and platform to do what God has called me to do. It also gives me the band of brothers I need to keep me encouraged and engaged in changing lives, starting with my own family’s and then branching out from there,” one participant said.
Trayler said stories like these illustrate why the organization believes a faith-centered community is essential for men who want their goals to matter beyond January.
“When men pursue God alongside other believers, the impact reaches far beyond the workplace,” he said. “We see stronger families, healthier leadership and businesses shaped by integrity. That kind of change doesn’t end with a calendar year — it continues to ripple outward.”
As 2026 begins, CBMC invites businessmen to move beyond resolutions centered only on productivity and instead pursue spiritual formation, relationships and purposeful influence.
Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) exists to see men’s lives, families and workplaces transformed by God through a growing evangelism and discipleship movement in every community across the nation. Reaching, empowering and deploying generations of men in the workplace to live out their faith and multiply their impact for Christ is now more relevant than ever. As men strive for meaningful lives, CBMC is prepared to share the hope of the Gospel and offer essential tools for spiritual growth. Through Gospel-centered peer advisory groups and mentoring relationships, CBMC helps professionals achieve their business objectives and personal development goals.
