Trump’s economic growth signals the pivotal role of leadership, says FISM host

‘His announcement of a nationwide “war on fraud” is a step toward restoring accountability and protecting the hard-earned money of the American people’

PHILADELPHIA — In his first official State of the Union of his second term, President Trump championed the nation’s economic growth, noting that “Our country is WINNING AGAIN.” For this midterm election year, the state of the economy is of the utmost importance in terms of establishing control of Congress. In addition to touting his economic record, President Trump also addressed the crackdown on fraud and declared Vice President JD Vance as the leader of the “war on fraud.”

“President Trump’s State of the Union reminded Americans that leadership matters,” said Financial Issues (FISM) host Mark Minnella. “After years of economic drift and bureaucratic excess, the country is seeing renewed confidence, stronger growth signals, and a president willing to confront fraud and waste in government programs that cost taxpayers billions. His announcement of a nationwide ‘war on fraud,’ led by Vice President JD Vance, is a step toward restoring accountability and protecting the hard-earned money of the American people.

“What stood out most was not just the economic optimism, but the willingness to defend foundational truths: a nation must protect its borders, protect its citizens and uphold the integrity of its elections. Those principles should not be controversial, yet the visible resistance from some in Congress showed just how divided Washington has become. Still, Trump’s message was clear: America can be strong, prosperous and grounded again in faith and national purpose. For many conservative Christians, that emphasis on restoring accountability, protecting families and reaffirming that we are ‘one nation under God’ is exactly the kind of leadership the country has been waiting for.”
