USPIE awards Millstone of the Month to Rep. Jayapal for sponsoring ‘transgender bill of rights’

USPIE: ‘Demanding that honest conversations about the tragedy of the trans-phenomenon are unlawful undermines our foundational freedom of speech guaranteed in the Bill of Rights’

COLUMBIA, S.C. U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) has once again introduced the “Transgender Bill of Rights.” This has earned her the April 2026 Millstone of the Month award from United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE).

“The bill would create a new federal civil rights category to allow legal attacks on citizens who refuse to go along with the transgender insanity,” said USPIE Founder and President Sheri Few. “It would add language to the Civil Rights Act and amend education laws to force the transgender agenda into every school in the country.

“The bill would also expand access to the oxymoronically named ‘gender-affirming medical care,’ which is the opposite of what it sounds like,” Few said. “Demanding that the medical community provide life-altering mutilation of children endangers the innocent and disrespects the duty of nurses and doctors to ‘first, do no harm.’ And demanding that honest conversations about the tragedy of the trans-phenomenon are unlawful undermines our foundational freedom of speech guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.”

Co-sponsored by Reps. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.) and Mark Takano (D-Calif.), H.Res 1058 is in the House Judiciary Committee awaiting action. A companion bill (S. Res. 604) has been introduced in the Senate by Sen. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.).

The Millstone of the Month award is given to the person involved in government schools who has committed the most egregious acts against children. These individuals have taken steps to funnel wokeness and other harmful pedagogies into America’s classrooms.

“The trans-confusion appeared virtually out of nowhere and has infected our children into believing a biological lie,” Few said. “All people deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. But demanding that girls and women be put at risk with biological men in their private spaces disrespects the rights of women and girls.”

USPIE’s podcast, “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few,” recently discussed how the controversy over allowing biological males to participate in girls’ sports continues to grow, and that more individuals are becoming outspoken about the issue.

“The battle to protect the rights and accomplishments of young women is being destroyed by transgender ideology,” Few said.

United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIEis a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that is fighting to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.

USPIE’s powerful documentary, “Truth & Lies in American Education,” addresses some of the most glaring issues in the American education system and helps parents experience a paradigm shift in how they think about education and the role of their local schools. The film follows Few’s daughter-in-law, April, as she seeks to learn more about the system she was planning on exposing to her own children and learns the shocking truth. “Truth & Lies in American Education” is available for streaming on SalemNOW, as well as available on DVD.
