As church attendance declines, Barry Meguiar says revival begins in the pews
IgniteAmerica releases ‘Live Ignited,’ a 365-day devotional to mobilize Christians into a force for revival
PHOENIX — With church attendance in decline and a culture searching for meaning and hope, IgniteAmerica is calling on Christians nationwide to take a more active role in sharing their faith — and releasing a new devotional designed to spark revival.
Barry Meguiar, noted entrepreneur and founder and president of IgniteAmerica, has launched “Live Ignited,” a 365-day devotional aimed at helping believers integrate faith-sharing naturally into everyday life. The initiative comes as data from Lifeway Research indicates many churchgoers are willing — but not always intentional — about sharing Jesus.
“Too many Christians believe the Great Commission is for someone else,” Meguiar said. “But Scripture makes it clear — we are all called to reach others, right where we are.”
The “Live Ignited” devotional provides daily readings designed to keep believers focused on God’s ultimate purpose — to seek and save the lost. Each entry includes practical guidance for turning ordinary conversations into opportunities for spiritual impact.
“‘Live Ignited’ turns every day into an opportunity to impact eternity,” Meguiar said. “It’s about seeing every conversation as a chance to reflect Christ and point others toward Him.”
According to Meguiar, the need for spiritual renewal has never been more urgent. “America is in a spiritual battle that cannot be won from positions of power or by human wisdom,” Meguiar said. “God has called every believer to be the light of the world, and that means actively sharing our faith every day.”
IgniteAmerica is a nationwide network connecting Christians committed to “moving everyone, every day, closer to Jesus.” The organization equips believers to reach others through daily interactions, emphasizing that faith-sharing is not limited to clergy or professional ministry. Meguiar emphasizes that influence is the engine of revival. He argues that every believer has the capacity to affect others’ spiritual journeys, whether through relationships, workplace interactions or casual encounters.
“God has given each of us influence, and one day we’ll give an account for how we used it,” Meguiar said. “What matters most is how many people are in Heaven because of that influence.”
IgniteAmerica’s broader movement pairs the devotional with online resources, community-building tools, a podcast series and other video content designed to encourage believers and create a ripple effect of faith-sharing. Meguiar sees every act of faith-sharing as a ripple building toward the national revival he believes is coming.
“Revival in America won’t start with a podium or pulpit — it begins in the pews, with individuals who commit to living out their faith boldly every day,” Meguiar said.
As the IgniteAmerica movement gains traction, Meguiar continues to call on Christians to view their lives as opportunities for spiritual impact, reinforcing the idea that lasting cultural change begins with personal transformation.IgniteAmerica is a national movement founded by Barry Meguiar dedicated to equipping Christians to share their faith and spark revival across the United States.
