Girls and women are sadder, more anxious and lonelier than ever before

Dr. Alex McFarland: ‘The solution is not more senseless feminist messaging, pushing grievances and attacking masculinity. Christian faith and a biblical worldview about men and women is the answer’

GREENSBORO, N.C. “Girls and women today are sadder, more anxious, and lonelier than they have ever been,” according to an insightful article in The Federalist. “Women continue to labor under unceasing social pressures and overwhelming emotional burdens.”

In an American Psychological Association “Stress in America” survey, women reported a higher average level of stress than men and were more likely to rate their stress levels between an eight and a 10 than men.

“Today’s young women have been marinating in a toxic stew of commercialization, objectification, and atomization. Consequently, they have been hollowed out and broken down in order to be reshaped into ideal consumers and products,” the Federalist says, citing a new book by British writer Freya India, who specializes in cultural trends among Gen Z girls.

According to youth, culture, and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland, by allowing Christian faith to guide their daily lives, “women and girls will be happier, less anxious and feel a sense of belonging in His community.”

“Millennial and Gen Z females are bombarded with enough media messages to keep them busy and engaged all day long, while the real-life connections just aren’t there for many, leaving them sad, anxious, and lonely. They have disconnected themselves from others because of technology, particularly social media.

“The solution is not more senseless feminist messaging, pushing grievances and attacking masculinity,” McFarland says. “Christian faith and a biblical worldview about men and women is the answer. The truth and love of Jesus can cut through modern myths and restore healthy relationships. Women have been told to seek material success above all and to ignore the calling of their hearts to be wives and mothers. This has cheated them — and men — of what truly makes people happy: faith and family.”

Alex McFarland Ministries’ newly launched Revive US events reignite the faith for Christians, introduce it to others, and impart knowledge with eternal consequences for everyone. Each event equips attendees to confidently answer these and other critical questions:

  • Is there evidence that God is real and Jesus is the only way to heaven?
  • Whose truth is true and what does that even mean?
  • Should our Christian faith guide government and our daily lives?
  • How will we recognize the end times?
  • Does God care about me?
