Save the Storks celebrates America’s 250th birthday with ‘Storky’s Road Trip Across America’

Summer initiative celebrates faith, family, life and patriotism as the nation marks its semi-quincentennial

PLANO, TexasSave the Storks — a pro-life, nonprofit serving women across the U.S. —is joining the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of American independence with a message rooted in life, liberty and living faith. The organization has launched its summer America 250: Storky’s Road Trip Across America,” built around its beloved mascot, Storky, and guided by the organization’s 2026 theme, “Let Life Happen.”

The initiative, running throughout the summer months, follows Storky on a nostalgic journey to national parks, baseball games, hometown Fourth of July parades, state fairs, backyard barbecues, family road trips and back-to-school moments. Through short-form video, interactive social media content and postcard-style creative, Save the Storks aims to spark conversations about family life in America while drawing attention to its mission of serving women facing unexpected pregnancies.

The initiative comes as faith leaders across the country call Americans back to the nation’s founding principles. As pastors rally for national repentance and rededication ahead of the semi-quincentennial, Save the Storks is answering that call by championing the values of faith, family, life and patriotism that shaped the republic.

“As our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, we at Save the Storks are reminded that the very foundation of this country rests on truths the founders called self-evident,” said Save the Storks CEO Diane Ferraro. “The Declaration of Independence affirms that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We believe that when our founders wrote ‘life’ as a right of every American, that includes the life of a preborn child. Save the Storks is grateful for the men and women who acknowledged God as Creator and enshrined the protection of life into the soul of this nation. As a nonprofit serving women across the United States, we hold fast to these founding ideals and pray that America’s next 250 years will be marked by an even deeper commitment to life and to the God who gives it.”

On social media, Storky has captured audiences with feel-good, thought-provoking content designed to engage followers under the “Let Life Happen” banner. Recent posts have included pointed questions that challenge cultural assumptions, such as asking why people are more willing to save stork eggs than human babies. The campaign is rooted in humor, audience participation and American nostalgia while reinforcing Save the Storks’ identity as a life and family-centered organization.
