Elon Musk claims ‘Jesus-level technologies,’ does he understand Christ is the one who enables him?

Dr. Alex McFarland: ‘In some meaningful way, Musk may be respecting the miraculous power of Christ. But being born again in Jesus and walking in new life is the Jesus-level spiritual conversion that Elon needs, as do all of us’

GREENSBORO, N.C. Elon Musk, the tech billionaire entrepreneur who owns SpaceX, Neuralink, Tesla and social media platform X, told reporters this past week that recent advances may give sight to the blind and help disabled people walk. The Neuralink brain chip has been shown to give people the ability to control interconnected objects remotely. Musk’s scientists are also working on technology to give sight to the blind through an interface with their brain’s visual cortex.

“Restoring control of people who are tetraplegics and restoring sight I think are pretty big deals,” Musk said. “They’re sort of what I might call Jesus-level technologies. I mean miracles in the scientific sense.”

“Advancing technology to serve mankind is what God tells big thinkers to do,” says culture expert Dr. Alex McFarland, founder of Alex McFarland Ministries. “In some meaningful way, Musk may be respecting the miraculous power of Christ. But being born again in Jesus and walking in new life is the Jesus-level spiritual conversion that Elon needs, as do all of us.

“These technological breakthroughs are truly marvelous and it’s no wonder that Musk used the term ‘miracle’ to describe them. They will change many lives radically for the better. However, a true miracle, like the ones Jesus performed, has no naturalistic explanation. Science is revealing new, mind-bending details about the human cell alone that show we could not possibly have evolved merely by chance. We were created by Divine will, and Jesus is the Creator.

“According to the description of Jesus in John 1:3, ‘All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.’ Additionally, Colossians 1:16 says, ‘For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.’ We must pray that someone as consequential as Elon Musk comes to the simple realization that he needs Christ in his life.”

Alex McFarland Ministries’ newly launched Revive US events reignite the faith for Christians, introduce it to others, and impart knowledge with eternal consequences for everyone. Each event equips attendees to confidently answer these and other critical questions:

  • Is there evidence that God is real and Jesus is the only way to heaven?
  • Whose truth is true and what does that even mean?
  • Should our Christian faith guide government and our daily lives?
  • How will we recognize the end times?
  • Does God care about me?
