Maryland school district openly pushes LGBTQ ideology on children

USPIE: ‘The so-called “educators” who do this are imposing a false religion on kids. The only way to protect children is to get them out of government schools’

COLUMBIA, S.C. A Maryland school district has gone all in on indoctrinating children into LGBTQ “education,” according to United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE).

Community Allies of Rainbow Youth (CARY), a group based in Ellicott City, Md., has introduced the “Rainbow Ribbon Schools” (RRS) certification to the Howard County Public School System. The county already assigns a “rainbow representative” to every school in the county, according to its website.

To receive the certification, schools must show their curriculum and instruction “affirms LGBTQIA+ identities and contributions across grade levels and subjects, using respectful language,” according to Fox News.

Elementary and secondary schools seeking Rainbow Ribbon certification must submit documentation showing LGBTQ+-inclusive instruction, including six lesson plans across subjects, one of which must be a health lesson. They must also submit samples of student work and proof that the curriculum was implemented without “omitting required content inclusive of LGBTQIA+.”

“This is clear evidence that LGBTQ+ themes integrated into government school curricula are openly steering children into homosexual and transgender behavior,” said USPIE Founder and President Sheri Few. “This makes it harder for parents to opt their children out and is a clear violation of parents’ First Amendment right to convey moral values to their children. The LGBTQ ideology is in direct conflict with Judeo-Christian morality. As such, the so-called ‘educators’ who do this are imposing a false religion on kids. The only way to protect children is to get them out of government schools.

“We now face a nationwide surge in gender confusion, especially among children. Government schools are introducing these harmful concepts at increasingly younger ages, often without parental knowledge or consent,” Few said.

“As a society, we cannot continue granting legitimacy to these distortions of human sexuality, especially within taxpayer-funded institutions charged with educating children. It is time to draw firm boundaries and reject the steady erosion of moral standards in the name of ideological progress.”

“On a more positive note, many corporations have pulled back from LGBTQ-related sponsorship, and Tennessee legislators have recognized the importance of the nuclear family by making June ‘Nuclear Family Month.’ The resolution, signed into law by Gov. Bill Lee on April 9, defines the nuclear family as ‘consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children.’

“For years, LGBTQ activists have hijacked the month of June, formerly known for Father’s Day and as the prime month of weddings,” Few said. “Now, in Tennessee, at least, instead of the false idol of ‘pride,’ the state is recognizing the crucial role played by the nuclear family — mom, dad and the kids.

“On June 1, Indiana Gov. Mike Braun declared June to be ‘Nuclear Family Month,’ and on the same day, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey proclaimed that June was ‘Strong Families Month.’ I pray other states will follow.”

To hear more from USPIE’s Founder and President, Sheri Few, tune in to the latest episode of USPIE’s podcast, “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few,” on Tuesday, June 9, where Few is joined by Sheila Matthews-Gallo, co-founder of AbleChild, a nonprofit that has spent more than two decades exposing the dangers of psychiatric labeling and the wrongful medication of children in schools. Sheila is a Connecticut resident and mother of two whose advocacy began with her own son’s experience being labeled as having behavioral issues at school. That experience launched her into a mission to protect children, empower parents and speak out against the overuse of psychiatric labels and medications in education. USPIE’s “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few” is a weekly podcast that exposes the dangers of education shaped by government bureaucrats and social engineers, while exploring practical ways to protect children and preserve America’s freedom. Listen to “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few” on YouTube, Facebook, Spotify and X.

United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIEis a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that is fighting to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.

USPIE’s powerful documentary, “Truth & Lies in American Education,” addresses some of the most glaring issues in the American education system and helps parents experience a paradigm shift in how they think about education and the role of their local schools. The film follows Few’s daughter-in-law, April, as she seeks to learn more about the system she was planning on exposing to her own children and learns the shocking truth. “Truth & Lies in American Education” is available for streaming on SalemNOW, as well as on DVD.
